You will have access to all the resources you need to complete this training and become a Healthcare Assistant.

Our expert trainers will lead interactive presentations covering the requisite technical and scientific background. You will get the online teaching of essential HCA theory during the comprehensive 1-day introductory Healthcare Assistant course.

The course will cover all the essential areas of knowledge. It will equip you to become a caring, effective, and essential member of the healthcare team, delivering personalised care to your clients.

Healthcare Assistant Training Entry Requirements:

Participants in the Healthcare Assistant training course (Stage 1) need not fulfil formal entry requirements, but they must possess a working level of English. You will receive a Level 2 Certificate in Introduction to Healthcare Assistant (FH137) from the national awarding body, OCN Credit4Learning when completing this part of the course successfully.

You will also be ready to progress to our Live HCA Clinic Sessions at NHS Clinics (Stage 2), which takes place in an NHS facility and awards a Certificate of Competency on completion of this Healthcare Assistant training.

Healthcare Assistant Training Live HCA Clinic Sessions at NHS Clinics in London (Stage 2) | £290 per person

In the second stage of our HCA training, you will practice on real patients under the one-to-one supervision of an experienced HCA instructor. This training will take place in a busy NHS GP practice. These HCA sessions will enable you to apply and further develop your technical and interpersonal skills in an authentic clinical setting. Here you will perform the procedures that you will regularly carry out as a qualified HCA.

We will assess your performance against the competencies developed by Skills for Care, Skills for Health, and Health Education England, launched in 2015. Once you meet the necessary requirements with your knowledge and skills, the NHS facility where you undertake your sessions and Floreo Associates will award you a Certificate of Competency in HCA. This will conclude the training needed to start working as a qualified HCA practitioner.

Healthcare Assistant Training (Stage 2) Entry Requirements:

After successfully completing the Introductory Healthcare Assistant Course (Stage 1), participants can arrange dates for Healthcare Assistant Training (Stage 2). They must have received the first jab of the Hepatitis B vaccination.

Please note, there is a standard wait time of 1-2 weeks after completing Stage 1 Healthcare Assistant training for Stage 2.

The training consists of either 2 half-days in the morning or 1 full day with morning and afternoon sessions. Additional sessions, if needed, cost £130.

Healthcare Assistant Work Experience/Work Placement – NHS clinics in London

Our Healthcare Assistant Work Experience Programme provides hands-on training at our partner NHS clinics in London. Participants gain practical skills such as conducting blood pressure checks and assisting with new patient assessments. They also handle tasks like ordering supplies and sterilising equipment. Working independently (under supervision if needed), they refine their skills, boosting their confidence. Choose from 3 or 6-month packages with flexible session options. Participants experience daily clinic operations firsthand, while professional development includes receiving reference letters and a Healthcare Assistant Work Experience Certificate from the NHS clinic upon completion. Are there any health requirements for the practical sessions?

Yes. To participate in Stage 2 (Live Clinic Sessions), you must have received at least your first Hepatitis B vaccination jab (first jab only) to ensure safety within the clinical environment.

How long does it take to complete the full training?
